Western slope Montrose Republicans filled the Jordan leaving standing room only by 8:30AM. Melanie and I gave up our seats then split up. I stood in the back while Melanie sat with her new Montrose friends. She's here and quite frankly, so was Santorum, because of a vision Melanie had a couple months ago that she's turned into
Welcome Home Montrose.

After an hour stump speech, he answered questions then closed by meeting the Montrose mayor, Kathy Ellis. She read directly from Melanie's WHM tri-fold about the plight of our returning veterans and our community's plan to welcome them home. Ellis' connections to the Santorum campaign and the WHM plan resulted in a schedule change and Rick spent 2 hours visiting with the people of Montrose.

Rick autographs Melanie's WHM tri-fold. She passed out 400 pamphlets before
his speech. Afterwards, I roamed around the room and collected the
disgarded ones. There were 8 on the floor. Melanie's vision is taking off
in ways we don't try to explain. To go from inception to altering a
presidential campaign stop schedule in 2 months is amazing, just amazing.

Rick hopped into a Colorado pickup truck, next stop Loveland then Greeley.
